Located in the breathtaking surroundings of Northern Minnesota's Voyageurs National Park, Kab Inn offers affordable overnight lodging. We pride ourselves on simple, clean, comfortable rooms that can be rented for a short stay or a longer adventure. We offer guided fishing trips, custom "boat tours" of Voyageurs, and insight and knowledge to make your own adventure even better. Most resorts or lodging in our immediate area rents for minimum of 4 to 7 days. Why stay 30 miles away in International Falls when your adventure begins or ends on Lake Kabetogama (the heart of Voyageurs National Park). Our Offerings
Clean, comfortable, and affordable Lodging.
Located 1/4 mile from the Kabetogama Visitor Center we offer overnight accommodations similar to a small hotel. We have 4 rooms, each has bathroom and it's own entrance and exit. 2 rooms have private full kitchens, and 2 rooms share a kitchen. Rooms can be rented independently or all together depending on the size of your group. On-site laundry is available to guests. Large wooded lot, and plenty of parking for vehicles and boat/trailer. We are NOT on the water.
Guided fishing trips with Wade Watson (27yrs fishing these waters) USCG license, CUA permit, Food handler, Critical Care Paramedic.
Most visitors come to the large lakes of Voyageurs National Park for the fishing. Know as some of the best walleye fishing in the country. Go with someone that not only will help you catch more fish, but our goal is to teach you how, when, why, and where to find fish when your are on the water after a day with me.

Voyageurs National Park is a "water-based park" meaning that most of the activities is centered around the islands and waterways that originally carved out the routes of the Voyageurs. Now days we use motorboats, kayaks, houseboats, or something to get in and around the miles of water and undeveloped shorelines that makes Voyageurs National Park so magical.
I have been a USCG captain for 27 years, and our family history on Lake Kabetogama dates back to 1916 when my great-grandfather started one of the first resorts in the area. I have kayaked these waters, camped on many of the islands, fished for hours in many of the best areas...I love this place, and I have offered private boat tours for many years- join me on one of the tours, or if you have limited time...let's design a tour of the things you want to see! I operate a PRIVATE business licensed to run tours and guided trips in Voyageurs National Park, I am licensed by the USCG, and also old my credentials as a critical care paramedic (let's not have any accidents).

Enjoy the beauty of Lake Kabetogama and Voyageurs National Park as we tour through the islands and waterways that makes this area special. Learn from local historian and licensed guide. We will be on the water for approximately 2 hours. Boat can seat 5- THIS is a private boat tour, if you would like to add people this is possible but I cannot guarantee full occupancy. PRICE is based on 2 people ($350) each additional person $50/kids 12 or under $25.

Northern Minnesota is remote; Voyageurs National Park is the first NATIONAL PARK designated as a "dark sky" area. Due to all the islands and hazards, most tours of that area are in the daytime...well, we will go under the Milky Way and slowly go around a few islands as you see how beautiful the night sky is in Voyageurs. Price ($350) is based on 2 people. Tour will take about 1.5-2 hours. Additional people can be added at $50 per person/kids under 12 $25 each.
Voyageurs "Best Of" Boat
Tour- 4.5-5 hrs
Voyageurs National Park is a WATER-BASED National Park, unlike any other. You need a boat, kayak, tour boat, or guide to take you through the historic waterways of the Voyageurs. My family has been operating on Kabetogama since 1916, and I pride myself on knowing the history of the area before the park, and since Voyageurs was established as a National Park (1975). This tour we will be on the Namakan Basin and see the Ellsworth Rock Gardens, Hoist Bay, Steven's island, Kettle Falls Hotel and maybe a fee other favorite. Boat can seat 5- THIS is a private boat tour, if you would like to add people this is possible, but I cannot guarantee full occupancy. PRICE is based on 2 people ($595) each additional person $30/kids 12 or under $20.
Intro to Voyageurs- 2-2.5 hr Boat Tour
Voyageurs National Park is so unique in that it is water-based. So, to see the park you need to go beyond the water's edge. This private boat tour you will see a great in-depth look at the landscape, the history, and the wildlife that make Voyageurs so popular and beautiful. Fishing & Sightseeing tour
6 or 8 hrs
This is more than your guided fishing trip...this boat tour is for the person that wants to see Kettle Falls, maybe Hoist Bay, but also came to Minnesota to try and catch the elusive Walleye. On this tour we do boat...little fishing/little sightseeing...LOTS of Fun. Tour is 6-8 hours from start to finish. I can pick you up at any resort or houseboat on the Namakan Basin. PRICE is based on 2 people ($600) each additional person $50/kids 12 or under $25.
